Punch Ball  (outdoor activity)

This game is similar to kickball in some ways.  There are five hitters.  Each hitter stands inside a hula hoop and holds a ball in the air.  When instructed, the hitters will punch the ball as hard as possible out into the field and will begin running around the cones.  Each hitter will receive one point for every cone the pass (they are not to stop running until they hear the whistle blow), with a maximum of four points being rewarded if they can return to the hoops.  To stop the players from running, all five balls that were hit must be placed inside the hula hoops.  When they are all back in the hoop, the teacher will blow the whistle and the round is over.  The players on defense that placed the ball in the hoop will now become the hitters for the next round.  If a player who has returned the ball has already had a turn to hit, they must pick a player who has not had a chance yet.
